Membership Options
Membership in the North Carolina Society of Surveyors is not required to participate in the Young Surveyors Network, but it is strongly encouraged. Becoming a member of NCSS demonstrates your commitment to the profession while providing additional opportunities to connect with surveyors across North Carolina and support the Society’s mission.
Associate Membership – $30/year
If you’re not yet licensed but have an interest in the surveying profession, you can join NCSS as an Associate Member for just $30 per year. Associate Membership is a great way to build your professional network, stay informed about the profession, and become involved with the Young Surveyors Network while working toward licensure.
Geomatics Student Membership – FREE
Students enrolled in a geomatics or surveying-related program are eligible for a FREE Student Membership with NCSS. It’s an excellent opportunity to begin building professional connections, gain exposure to the profession, and become engaged with the surveying community before graduation.

YSN Tech Day
The North Carolina Young Surveyors Network (NC-YSN) is excited to offer its third YSN Tech Day on August 7th in Wilmington, in partnership with Duncan-Parnell and Cape Fear Community College. This immersive, hands-on technology event is designed for young surveying professionals who are ready to work directly with the latest tools and real-world workflows. Best of all, this event is free. It is your chance to roll up your sleeves, test-drive cutting-edge equipment, and gain practical experience that will strengthen your skills and advance your career.
