This will serve as a review for those who are preparing to take the “Principles and Practice of Surveying” exam. Instructors will not be able to cover all topics on the exam but will cover the highlights. Click Here to purchase NCEES practice exams.

Instructors:
Dr. Jerry Nave, PLS, is an assistant professor of Geomatics at NC A&T State University where he teaches courses in boundary location and legal principles, land systems, geodetic surveying, satellite positioning, ethics and professionalism and subdivision design. He earned his BS and MS in Surveying and Mapping and his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tennessee State University. He received his PLS in 1993 and has over 21 years of experience in the private and public sectors.
Peggy Fersner, was the Geomatics Coordinator at North Carolina A&T State University from 1993-2022 teaching surveying, GIS, and hydrology courses. She retired from NC A&T in 2022, but still teaches online courses. Prior to this, she was a consulting engineer in Charleston, SC with an emphasis on subdivision design. She holds her BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and Clemson University, respectively.
