2.  CAD Technician - Lumberton, NC

We are looking for a CAD Technician to join our Engineering Services group.  This candidate will contribute to the team through the production of civil engineering drawings and design calculations for site and land development projects, water main design, sanitary sewer design, water and wastewater treatment plant drawings, GPS data collection and downloads. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  3 to 5 years 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  Two-year Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or AutoCAD drafting.  3-5 years’ land development work, water and sewer experience preferred, entry level considered.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience with AutoCAD, CAD standards and Excel.

2. Utility Services Analyst – Charlotte

4. Survey Rod Person

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

A rod person has multiple responsibilities on a survey crew. Their first responsibility is to make sure that the truck is loaded with the necessary equipment and supplies that are needed throughout the day. When at the site a rod person will take on transporting and setting up the instruments and equipment and preparing the job site for survey. They generally are responsible for most of the clearing of brush and trees away from the survey line. As the work begins, it is the responsibility of the rod person to hold the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points. He also measures how far different points are from each other, using a tape or electronic equipment, and helps with the various pieces of survey equipment. A rod person may need to be familiar with various pieces of survey equipment. If a supervisor is present at the job site, the rod person can operate the surveying equipment with the supervisor's oversight.

Survey Party Chief

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
The Party Chief is the individual that represents the company in the field. The Party Chief is responsible for making sure that the crew and equipment are ready for the next assignment. The Party Chief must ensure that the work is performed to company standards and that the results are presented in a clear and concise format.

The Party Chief is responsible to lead the field effort for various surveying tasks including; construction, topographic, boundary, right-of-way, and control survey projects.

Their responsibilities also include the following:

  • Assign and monitor work, and provide input for evaluation of field survey crew members

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • NC Professional Land Surveyors License required.

Responsibilities:
Responsible charge of all aspects of a surveying and geomatics group (field and office) consisting of several field crews and supporting technical staff involved with public and private sector land improvement projects. Essential duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include, but are not limited to:
o Oversees the day to day field survey operations to provide accurate data for boundary/ALTA, topographic, construction staking, utility as-built and wetland surveys.
o Oversees and trains individuals to operate Trimble robotic total stations, GPS and data collectors and other survey equipment for use in the collection of survey data.
o Responsible for establishing control and performing construction stakeout as well as storing stakeout data.
