NCSS Institute

FEBRUARY 2-5, 2011

Purpose:

This program is designed to provide continuing education to develop a better understanding of the many important aspects of surveying. The Institute also provides participants with the opportunity to share experiences and to have fellowship with their peers from many different parts of the country. There are five sections in the Institute—Sections A-B-C-D and E. Each section focuses on an area of our profession. Participants may enroll in the section of their choice or attend only the day of their choice.

Eligibility & Application:

While the program is designed primarily for Professional Land Surveyors, all individuals with a desire to further their education are welcome to participate.

Institute Graduation:

The Institute is designed to be a program comprised of Sections A, B, and C. A total of 30 hours of instruction is required in each section, 24 hours of which shall be completed during the institute. The three sections may be taken in any order. When all three have been completed, the student is awarded a certificate of graduation. Attending Section D or Section E does not apply toward graduation.

The NCSS Institute offers the following credits:

North Carolina State Boards

Section A – 24 PDHs
Section B – 24 PDHs
Section C – 24 PDHs
Section D – 24 PDHs
Section E – 24 PDHs

South Carolina and Tennessee must submit coursework for approval, as there is not pre-approval.
