About NCSS

Who We Are

The North Carolina Society of Surveyors was founded January 31, 1939 and is the only professional organization in the state representing Surveyors throughout the state. We are the second oldest Land Surveying Organization in the United States. We actively deal with issues affecting the Surveyor on local, state and national levels. NCSS is a state society of the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
